No news is...
A pile of steaming shit, as it happens.
Thanks for all your thoughts and good wishes, it really does warm my cockles.
Non case specific advice from a policeman friend of mine says that he'll plead not guilty simply to buy time but I still don't know the result of the court appearance for certain and these tenterhooks are making my feet bleed.
The good news is not once have I felt like having a cigarette.
I'll update properly later, with luck. I did do some comments over the last couple of days but that's all my goldfish sttention span could manage.
But thanks again, you're all so lovely.

Well done on not hitting the fags, Angie! If you can get through this without caving in, you can get through anything!
Sounds like you are in need of a good night out FB! We'd better finalise the bloggy meet details and get the party started!!
I agree with M'night! And well done for not smoking FB - good for you, Gxx
Well done for staying off the fags - it is all to easy to reach for them in times of crisis! Take care of yourself.
I'll have a fag (and a large Vodka) for you.
Why is it that the wankers in this world get all the good luck and us *nice* people get the shite all the time!
Never never never touch the fags again. I had supreme willpower in November, and now it's all turned to shit.
Nice.

Good luck with everything, Fussy.
xxxx
Good luck on the no smoking. I have never smoked and I dont want to. But my mom has smoked my entire life, hence the reason I was born premature....thanks mom! But hey, in 1969 they didnt know that it was bad during pregnancy...I hope so at least mom! Anyway, to this day, she cant quit and it hurts me to watch my mom do that to herself. Dont do it for the kids.
Oh bloody hell.
Why have you gone all soppy on us? I'm going to have to start my blog again to put things right.
I'm not joining in yer group snog.
Oh, BTW, my blog is up and running again.
I prefer a group snog of non-smokers rather than a group snog of smokers...!
It burns less!
hello fussy,
thank you for your kind words on my blog, and the meter code - I will add it as soon as I work out how to do it! (I've just moved to Wordpress and I am struggling to work out the basics at the moment!)
what's all this about pleading guilty and policemen and court appearances?
P.S. well done for not smoking, you're a great example of will-power!
oops, that link doesn't work. let me try again.
big hug and well done you.
I found from my experience that everytime I phoned the police they said it takes them a week to get the papers back from court so they knew no more than I did.
but I could ring the court myself and a very nice lady told me the situation as I was the victim.
just chatting to a friend and it has reminded me what I did while I was going through hell.
I set the alarm on my phone so that it woke me everyday playing the song........I will survive
It helped!
THanks to everyone (except Lambent who's a buttock, obviously xx) and a Gold Star to Sexy Vixen! On your advice I've phoned the court myself and found out it's been adjourned for a fortnight and no plea was entered as they want more time to prepare the case.
I never realised they'd give me that info over the phone so thanks a bunch, hunny. Even though the news isn't great, the relief of actually knowing is fantastic.
Stay strong, FB. I want in on the group snog, smoking or non-smoking version. xo
Further update thanks to policeman friend is that he'll probably plead not guilty to everything in order to prolong his freedom but then change his plea on the court steps come the actual trial day to gain favour with the sentencing judge for 'not putting his victims through the ordeal of a trial'. Which is bollocks cos this is the ordeal bit but that's the way it works.
Marcos and lars, welcome. I feel very global! Feel free to mail me if you want help with the quit meter, marcos (or support for the quit, I'm not one of those awful smug ex smokers, honest! I am fat though. Waah!)
Bella, another essex girl, yay! Hope you're feeling better than you were (that's my nice way of saying update your blog, woman!)
Ooh, this comments box is just a great big love-in! Which reminds me of a post I wanted to do...
glad to be of help with the court stuff I only found out because my outreach support worker suggested I phoned the court. Apparently they tell you whats going on if you are the victim.
My ex did plead not guilty...he phoned my mum before that and told her what he was doing. He wanted to drag me in front of a jury and proove that I am crazy. If I am crazy and the only witness there can be no case to answer to. On the day he agreed to plead guilty. but he had already put my family through so much.
Oh and does it count if I was born in chelmsford and spent my first 6 months in west hanningfield? my mum was born in romford and both sets of grandparents lived in the brentwood area when I was growing up.
Thoughts and best wishes with you, obv.
